I am resending this email because I trust you not to make mistakes. An earlier version of this newsletter had a mistake: the Fed raised rates, not cut them. Sorry for that.
We've had a lot of activity this week, and we have been busy sharing economic stories.
Here is what you missed this week.
The podcast discussion with Dr. Shreyasse Das and Dr. Amrita Dhar on Development Economics. You do not want to miss this one. We also discussed their experience at the University of Houston’s Ph.D. program.
Why I would hate to be Kevin Warsh and the political pressure the Fed faces. Yes, the Fed raised rates ( earlier version had a typo; I apologize), and they should have given the economic conditions. However, most of the inflation pressure comes from energy prices, and now we will all face a higher cost of capital, another consequence of the war on Iran for the American public.
This video covers
1. Inflation data
2. Gas Prices
3. Bond Markets
4. The FED meeting this week and what all that means to you
We want to hear from you: what economic stories have you been following, or what do you want us to cover?
