Good presentation! I think previous generations, mine (GenX) included, just thought we would keep working at the same job, gradually making more money. Gen Z wants more money partly too because nothing is assured.

I loved it when you showed how every generation thinks the younger ones don't want to work. I often wonder what's behind it. There's a jealousy of youth or opportunity. When we see people standing up for work-life balance, our first response is often to tell them they have to suffer like we did. They don't and shouldn't. No one should have to answer work emails/Slacks at all hours. I hope they build a better work environment than we did.

I thought so too. It is a data point from a survey of managers. The survey might have been biased.

Gen Z needing 500k to feel secure is reasonable and indicates they’re the only generation who knows what’s up

You are correct. Based on my presentation, I agree with them. But it is mostly a story of the growth of income inequality and not unrealistic expectations.
