The labor force participation rate for workers 55 and up keeps declining. Most of the shift is due to demographics, as the group is getting older, but a strong stock market has also given many boomers the cushion to walk away.
This is good news for younger workers trying to move up. Fewer people staying in leadership roles into their 70s means more room to climb up the professional ladder.
