Assymetric Knowledge at it's worst. We see it most commonly with auto purchases and the tatics of keeping someone in the showroom for as long as posible to get a deal. It leads to the simple question "What percentage of the financing did the pet store make?"
Bloomberg's "Odd Lots" recently ran a podcast with the CEO of Affirm and it was very enlightening as to the business practices of BNPL entities.
A 27% interest rate is diabolical.

A great lesson . I remember September 1994 when I had to deal with purchasing a car. I went through the same situation. It was a hard lesson .
I do remember that experience. Some lessons are learned the hard way.
