Why should entrepreneurs bother learning economics at all? Isn’t that what accountants and investors are for?
I reached out to Dr. Jeni Al Bahrani, Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business, to learn more about how she leverages economics in her teaching. Her student and TA, Sarah Bosse, joined us for the conversation. Sarah is an Altman Scholar and a fantastic student.
We covered economics, entrepreneurship, and “soft skills,” and why Jeni refuses to call them that. You will want to hear her reasoning.
It was a great conversation. As Sarah put it:
"The world and everything that we're learning is so interconnected. Obviously I've known economics and numbers show up in entrepreneurship. I just didn't know how much they overlapped."
